Meet the Executive Board
Sgt. Ashley joined the Freetown Police Department as a Communications Dispatcher/9-1-1 Call Taker in 2010 and graduated the MPTC Full-Time Police Academy in 2014. Sgt. Ashley is currently assigned as a Field Training Officer and is also serves as the department's Computer Systems Specialist. Sgt. Ashley holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Bridgewater State University.
As the Union President, he shall be the chief executive of the organization and shall preside at all meetings of the organization as well as the executive board meeting and perform such other duties as may properly come within his province.
VICE PRESIDENT
Sergeant Michael J. Connell, Jr.
As the Union Vice President, Sgt. Connell shall officiate for the President in their absence, also serve as the Shop Steward as the spokesperson for the membership for all greivences presented to the Chief of Police and the Board of Selectmen. Additionally, the Vice President shall endeavor to settle all issues in the manor most beneficial to the association membership as a whole.
TREASURER
Officer Kaylin A. Jose
As the Union Treasurer, Ofc. Jose shall keep a record of all monetary transactions of the organization, shall be responsible for possession of the ledger, credit card(s), and checkbook(s) on behalf of the organization.
SECRETARY
Detective Patrick R. Lee
Detective Lee joined the Freetown Police Department as a Reserve Officer and Communications Dispatcher/9-1-1 Call Taker in 2010 before being moved to a Full-Time Reserve Officer status in December, 2012. Det. Lee graduated from the MPTC Full-Time Police Academy in 2016 and is currently assigned to the Detective Division. Det. Lee is assigned to the SEMLEC Command Post (CP) Team. Detective Lee holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
As the Union Secretary, Det. Lee shall keep a record of all business transacted at meetings or the organization as well as the executive board, shall keep in the book provided for the purpose the Bylaws, Charter, and the record of the meetings and a file of all official correspondence of the association.
DIRECTORS-AT-LARGE
The Directors shall endeavor to attend all organization and E-Board meetings. The Directors shall endeavor to keep themselves apprised of Association business and matters in order to vote thoughtfully thereupon. The Directors shall also serve as the nomination committee for all Union Executive Board Elections.
