Uniform Crime Report (UCR) - 2018 Data
Crime data is gathered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation by participating law enforcement agencies. The following tables are shown for the Freetown, MA area, including the cities of New Bedford, Fall River and Taunton. The data is further broken down into a table showing all jurisdictions with a population under 20,000; which is then further sorted by violent crime ranking.
Current data available is for 2018. 2019 preliminary estimates are showing an overall decrease in crime, nationwide. In the northeast, violent crime is showing an estimated 2.6% decrease for the first six months of the year.
